the "videokonferenz" is an attempt to explore the language and possibilities of realtime video processing. since computers have become fast enough to process digitised video material in realtime and apply effects on it a new and unexplored field of expressing through the media is on-hand. in analogy to the history of film we are aware that not even the minimal range of the new language is stuttered, yet. it took the film pioneers decades until something could be created that takes in our eyes somehow advantage of film as a media that differs very much from theatre or acrobatic. keeping that in mind we may start a research to widen the realm of realtime video.
